The Joint Committee on Statutory Instruments (JCSI) has published its twenty-second Report of Session 2024-2025, drawing special attention of both Houses to The Moveable Transactions (Scotland) Act 2023 (Financial Collateral Arrangements and Financial Instruments) (Consequential Provisions and Modifications) Order 2025, SI 2025/275, The Merchant Shipping (Light Dues) Regulations 2025, SI 2025/278 and, The Food Crime Officers (Complaints and Misconduct) Regulations 2025, SI 2025/301. The Committee reported SI 2025/275 for failing to request an advance SI number, SI 2025/278 for omitting the citation of enabling powers under the Civil Partnership Act 2004 and SI 2025/301 for unnecessarily duplicating existing statutory duties.
