What does Short notice mean?

Whereby the members of a private company or a public company (but not a traded or listed public company) agree to short notice of a general meeting. For example, a general meeting of a private company may be called on short notice if a majority in number of members having, and together holding not less than 90% in nominal value of the shares giving, a right to attend and vote at the meeting (or such higher percentage not exceeding 95% as may be specified in the company’s articles) (CA 2006, s 307(4), 307(5), 307(6)).
