Sick leave
Eligible employees are entitled to paid leave for temporary incapacity for work due to general or occupational illness, occupational injury, health treatment or urgent medical examinations/tests and in other circumstances, as defined in the legislation, also related to health emergencies involving family members (paid time off for dependants).
Sick leave entitlement is authorised by a doctor or a qualified medical practitioner through the provision of a doctor's fit note. Employees are required to notify their employer within two days of obtaining the doctor's fit note.
An employer is obliged to allow an employee to take their sick leave upon provision of a sick note and pay them 70% of the average
