National minimum wage in Switzerland
There is no national minimum wage.
A popular initiative looking into introducing a minimum wage of CHF 4,000 per month (CHF 22 per hour) was rejected by Swiss voters in 2014. On 30 October 2023, the signatories to Switzerland's main collective labour agreements agreed that, during 2023, the nominal increase in real wages was 2.5% and to minimum wages was 1.9% (Federal Statistics Office).
