The mobile individual must register and claim unemployment benefits in the country where they last worked, unless they reside in another country.
If the individual resides in another EU country and returns there daily, or at least once a week, the globally mobile person must register with the employment services and claim benefits in the country where they reside.
The person may also register, as a supplementary step, with the employment services of the country where they work and/or look for a job, but the benefits will still only be paid by their country of residence.
