3.1ÌýÌýÌýÌý Salary
There is no minimum salary requirement to be met by an employer. This is generally based on the mutual agreement between the employer and the employee. However, all local employees at companies that hire foreign workers must be paid at least the Local Qualifying Salary (LQS), see 9.5.
Employees may receive a monthly or daily salary. Daily wages are calculated using either the gross rate (for paid public holidays, paid leave, salary in lieu and salary deductions) or the basic rate (for work on rest days or public holidays).
