6.1ÌýÌýÌýÌý Social security for globally mobile employees

Thailand's social security system applies to insured persons equally whether an employee is Thai or foreigner.

An insured person is an employee aged between 15 to 60 years old and registered by an employer with the Social Security Office. Domestic law requires an employer to withhold payroll deductions and the same amount of employer's subsidy as contributions to the Social Security Fund.
