8.1ÌýÌýÌýÌý Employer failures

Employer failureConsequence
WPS failures
Failure to comply with WPS payment requirements by more than 16 days (9.1)For employers any size, the consequences involve the following action:
• non-approval of work permit applications
• inspection
• action against companies in the same group
Failure to comply with WPS payment requirements by more than 29 days Employers of more than 500 employees will be subject to prosecution
This also applies to certain employers categorised as being 'high risk' by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE)
Failure to comply with WPS payment requirements by more than 44 days Employers of between 50 and 499 employees will be subject to prosecution
Failure to pay on time under the WPSAED 1,000 per affected employee up to a maximum of AED 20,000
Intentional provision of incorrect data under the WPS, or other intentional avoidance of paymentAED 5,000 per affected employee up to a
